There is a huge difference between being moral and being righteous. Morality pertains to what you do. Morality is strictly self-willed or simply put,no divine assistance. Whereas righteousness is a nature -that is the nature of God. Adam was made righteous from the beginning but when sin entered,he fell from the glorious state. Romans 5:12; No matter how moral you are,the bible declares it as filthy rags before God because of the Adamic sin that has been transferred to man-kind. But thank God for Jesus Romans 5:19, the same way sin was imputed to man because of Adam's disobedience, so also righteousness has been imputed to those who believe because of the obedience of Jesus. Knowledge is Power I was in my final year in the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma hoping like every other graduating student, to graduate without any issue or carry-over, Little did I know that something bad was cooking up for me. I just read an article about what the writer calls the 'come-to-my-house-syndrome' among Nigerian men. of course the writer is a lady, and majority of the people that commented were ladies. How things have changed! How time has flown! How friendship has gone! I seem to be lost... I continuously remind myself of friends that I have and used to have at various times, through various means; some very close, some close and some distantly close. I wonder why some never lasted and I am yet wondering. There are several friends for several reasons and there are different friends for different purposes, it is great to have all the reasons, purposes in one friend; how impossible can this be! I wouldn't be able to pinpoint why friendship degrades; people come, people go; if they came, left and never returned, it was never meant to be. Although everyone is capable of maintaining about 150 friends at a time, the healthy number is between 4 and 6. I don think I have changed. I still talk to and deal with people as I used to. There have been a strong misconception about the meaning of worship. Some people say it is a slow song they sing in church, but it's wrong, worship is beyond that, WORSHIP IS A LIFESTYLE. Anything that gives God pleasure is worship, be it songs (gospel), bible reading, prayer, tithes and offering, going early to churçh, gre€ting of your fellow worshipper, even your chäraçter, th€ wäy yöü tä£k, And the way you treat people, and so on and so forth, all these are elements of worship. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”     (Hebrew. 9:14) The conscience is that part of your mind that tells you whether your actions are right or wrong. You as a born again Christian cannot have a dead conscience. Your conscience must be alive. Dead works are basically the works of the flesh but when the blood of Jesus purges us, it sets us free from acting on these works. This does not mean that evil thoughts cannot come to your mind sometimes, but when your conscience is purged, you will not give heed to them.
