Be Grateful- (A Must Read).
Knowledge is Power
I was in my final year in the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma hoping like every other graduating student, to graduate without any issue or carry-over, Little did I know that something bad was cooking up for me.
There was a particular course we did and we all sat for the exam but unfortunately, we all failed the exam. The result was sent to the senate for approval but was rejected because they refuse to believe that mass failure was possible. Although it was solely the fault of the lecturer, how do you expect a student to pass a course he knows nothingg about, the lecturer never came to lecture all through out the semester and expects the student to pass his course, not that there were recomended materials to help the students, because it was new course.
The senate returned the results un-approved, and the lecturer decided to upgrade everyone's result but unfortunately for me I didn't find mine. I reported the issue to the lecturer and he insisted I must take it as a carry-over, that he's not sure I sat for the exam. After much pleading and showing evidence that I sat for the exam, he called me and decided to give me my result. I went to his office one faithful morning with so much joy and anxiety, he had some visitors, in their presence he gave me the result to go and make a copy and return to him, I left for the photocopy, while I was gone he told his visitors that when I get back I won't say thank you to him, his visitors said it's not possible. So I ruturned even with smiles on my face and gave his copy to him, in my hand was the original copy then I turned around about leaving without saying thank you, he called me back and requested for the original copy, I gave it to him and he tore it, I was in shock and he explained why he did that, because I did not say thank you. I fell on my knees with tears in my eyes begging for forgiveness but it was too late, I had to accept an extra year because I was not grateful. It's a lesson to all, because now even if I do you a favour, I'll be the one to tell you thank you. No matter how little you think the favour done to you is, please and please don't forget to say thank you. Be grateful in little and in much.
